"Your Simulator Hardware Protection (Dongle) is not connected (local or server)."
Your hardware protection is not working. You have a "network" version of the simulator but are missing the "network" drivers for your workstation. Download and install the driver.
Error message :
"No protection key (dongle)."
Your hardware protection key is not working. You need to download and install the latest driver version for your single-user dongle.
IF this does NOT solve your problem, your dongle may be out of order. Contact Sinapse Print Simulators and provide your product, license number and date of purchase.
Error message :
"Dongle date expired."
Your hardware protection has expired.
1. Contact Us and provide your product, license number and date of purchase.
2. Reprogram Hardware Protection with help from Sinapse.
Note : Required software
If you have a recent version of our simulator, programs named "Sinapse Activator" and "Sinapse Dongle Tester" have been installed automatically on your computer. They can be run from the program folder SGI TOOLS. If SGI Tools is not present, download the Distance Activation software.
Error message :
"Your Simulator Hardware Protection (Dongle) is not connected (local or server)."
The dongle is not connected or not recognized by your computer/ server.
You need to download the latest driver and install it both on the server and the local workstation.
If the driver is already installed, it’s possible that the connection between server and local workstation was lost. In this case, check your network configuration.
Error message :
"Your Number of Licenses for simultaneous users is Insufficient."
All licences are already in use; another user must "log off" the simulator before you can use it.

What is the procedure to check and update (if necessary) the Sinapse dongle used by your simulator?
After installation, you will have a new program folder named "sgi tools".
Note: insert the SINAPSE dongle into the USB port to continue. For a network dongle, do not try to reprogram it over the network. This must be done locally.
Check your dongle
A1 - Run the program “Sinapse Dongle Tester” (link available in the sgi tools menu)
A2 - Click on the “Refresh” button
A3 - Take a snapshot of the screen
A4 - Keep a copy of this snapshot
A5 - Quit the program
B1 - Run the program “Sinapse Activator” (link available in the sgi tools menu)
B2 - Click on the “Update” button
B3 - Select the option "Enter a license code" and click on “Next”
B4 - Copy the locking code of your dongle and keep it safe.
B5 - Quit the program
C1 – Send the locking code and the snapshot to support
Update your dongle
After reception of the new license code A1 - Run the program “Sinapse Activator” (link available in the sgi tools menu)
A1 - Click on the “Update” button
A2 - Select the option "Enter a license code" and click on “Next”
A3 - Paste the license code provided by SINAPSE (see above)
A4 - Click on the “Next” button
After this procedure your dongle will be updated. To check the update:
B1 - Run the program “Sinapse Dongle Tester” (link available in the sgi tools menu)
B2 - Click on the “Refresh” button
B3 – Take a snapshot of the screen (for our data files)
B4 – Please send this snapshot to support (for our data files)
B5 - Quit the program
